Summary:
Ronald Backer is an attorney in the Litigation Department of Rothman Gordon. As such, he represents clients across the litigation spectrum, including business and corporate transactions, will contests, labor and employment matters, and zoning hearings. He also has practiced extensively in Real Estate and has authored two pieces on Pennsylvania Landlord Remedies: "Pennsylvania Landlord Remedies: Collection of Rent and Recovery of Possession" and "Pennsylvania Landlord Remedies: An Update", for Dickinson Law Review.

Prior to joining Rothman Gordon, Ron served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Maurice Louik in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County.

Ron received his B.S., summa cum laude, and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. He was the Executive Note Editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review from 1975 - 1976 and authored "Leong v. Takasaki: Greater Protection Against Negligently Inflicted Emotional Distress" for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
