As an attorney in the Workers' Compensation/Social Security Disability Department of Rothman Gordon, John Zatkos works exclusively with workers' compensation clients, although his background also includes experience in personal injury, bankruptcy, and social security. While John has represented individuals from many backgrounds, he has built a reputation serving union employees seeking compensation benefits and has extensive experience in class action litigation under the Fair Labor Standards Act. John authors the quarterly Workers' Compensation Newsletter and presents on Workers' Compensation issues to unions and professional organizations such as the Pennsylvania Assocation for Justice (formerly PaTLA). Recent presentations have also included The Carnegie Library Business Series, Sterling Educational Seminars, the PA Department of Labor & Industry and the Center for Education Management. John also taught at CCAC's Center for Professional Development. John was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2005 and 2006, a recognition given to only 2.5 percent of Pennsylvania lawyers. John received his B.A. from Rutgers University and his J.D. from Duquesne University. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association (Council Member, Workers' Compensation Section) and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.
