Rothman Gordon: Samuel Douglass Accepted as Fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation

SAMUEL DOUGLASS ACCEPTED AS FELLOW OF THE ALLEGHENY COUNTY BAR FOUNDATION

Pittsburgh, PA—July 6, 2005—Rothman Gordon attorney Samuel L. Douglass has been accepted as a Fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation in the class of 2005. The Fellows Program was established by the Foundation to recognize and honor attorneys who have shown a commitment to excellence in charitable, community, professional, and/or public service activities.

Mr. Douglass received his B.A. from Mount Union College in 1955 and earned his LLB from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1958. He was admitted to the Bar in 1959 and has focused his practice on Mineral Law, as well as coal, oil and gas. Mr. Douglass was a founder of the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation (originally the Eastern Mineral Law Foundation). He served as the Foundation President from 1979 through 1981 and is currently a Trustee. In 1990, Mr. Douglass was the recipient of the "Distinguished Service Award" at the Coal Lawyers Conference of the National Coal Association. He is also recognized in Best Lawyers in America and as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for Real Estate.

Mr. Douglass resides in the South Hills with his wife, Judith. They have four children: Heather, Kevin, Shawn and Shannon, and six grandchildren.
