Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Is Now Available for Pennsylvania Workers

April 20, 2020

The Pennsylvania application for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance is now available. The application and instructions for completion can be found here.

Self-employed individuals, independent contractors, gig workers, workers for certain religious entities, those seeking part-time employment, individuals lacking sufficient work history, and those who otherwise do not qualify for regular unemployment compensation can apply for unemployment benefits under the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program created under the federal CARES Act.

Eligible workers may qualify to receive 26 weeks of Pandemic Unemployment Assistance benefits, an additional $600/week until July 31, 2020 (beginning April 5, 2020), and an additional 13 weeks of benefits if the worker is still unemployed after 26 weeks.

Information on eligibility for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance can be found here. If you have issues with unemployment compensation, our employment attorneys are available virtually. Contact us online or call (412) 338-1100.
