May 15, 2006

Pittsburgh, PA — May 15, 2006 — The Women in Law Division of the Allegheny County Bar Association has selected Rothman Gordon attorney James W. Carroll, Jr. to receive an Honorable Carol Los Mansmann Helping Hand Award.

The Carol Los Mansmann Helping Hand Award was created to honor and celebrate the life of the Honorable Carol Los Mansmann by recognizing individuals who, like Judge Mansmann, have lent a helping hand to women lawyers, opened doors for them, mentored them, and led by example. This year’s award recipients will include people instrumental in the founding and furthering of the mission of the WLD’s Gender Bias Subcommittee. Mr. Carroll was one of eight recipients to receive the award this year.

The Helping Hands Awards will be presented at the Women in Law Division’s annual meeting on May 17, 2006.
