Joins Advisory Council to Aid Nationwide Gift Planning for World’s Largest Nonprofit Dedicated to the Fight to End Cancer

Pittsburgh, PA – Douglas DeNardo, Esquire, a Shareholder of the law firm Rothman Gordon, has been selected to serve as a volunteer member of the American Cancer Society’s Nationwide Gift Planning Advisory Council. The Council is an active source of expert planned giving and estate planning consultation, assisting in the development of promotional strategies, and serving as a resource for the Society’s marketplace introduction to potential donors.

Mr. DeNardo will serve a staggered three-year advisory council term and will join other executives from across the nation. Council members provide guidance in estate planning law, tax accounting, investment and wealth management, real estate, insurance, and personal financial planning and marketing – all to help increase the quality and quantity of planned gifts to the Society and to further its mission to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

“We are grateful that Doug will be contributing his time and experience to this nationwide advisory initiative. His involvement will be key to the growth of planned gifts to the Society and to continued delivery on our mission of saving lives and leading the fight to end cancer,” said Bobby Collier, Vice President, Planned Giving Region 1.

An attorney with the law firm Rothman Gordon, Mr. DeNardo has distinguished himself as a personal estates and trusts lawyer, an advisor on family business succession and asset protection planning, and as a consultant to charitable organizations nationwide.  Mr. DeNardo earned his B.S., cum laude, and his J.D., cum laude, from Duquesne University. He resides in Moon Township.
