Attorney Yagelski Re-Certified in Creditors’ Rights

Pittsburgh, PA — August 21, 2007 — Paul R. Yagelski, an attorney at Rothman Gordon, P.C., has been re-certified as a Creditors’ Rights Specialist by the American Board of Certification. Mr. Yagelski has been certified since 2002 and has represented a large number of clients in varying creditor actions. He has had extensive involvement in bankruptcy proceedings, including proceedings involving motions for relief from stay; motions for dismissal of bankruptcy proceedings; and objections to the discharge of claims.

In order to become re-certified, Mr. Yagelski satisfied the requirements of: full-time practice of law for at least five years; maintained good standing in the bars of all states in which a license to practice is held; devoted at least 30% of his practice and at least 400 hours to creditors’ rights related matters in the last three years; completed a peer review process by nine lawyers; and demonstrated commitment to continuing legal education by earning 60 hours of creditors’ rights related education in the past three years.

The American Board of Certification (ABC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public and improving the quality of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights bars. The rigorous ABC certification standards are designed to encourage bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practitioners to strive toward excellence and to recognize those attorneys who are experts in their field. The ABC is co-sponsored by The American Bankruptcy Institute and the Commercial law League of America.

Mr. Yagelski earned his B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Scranton and his J.D. at Duquesne University School of Law. He is a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and the Commercial Law League.

Mr. Yagelski resides in Mount Lebanon with his wife, Lynne. They have three children.
